German icon backs Hütter for a high-flying run with Frankfurt
The 1990 World Cup winner is convinced that the Austrian will provide "stability" in his second tenure and lead the club to the top.
After a mixed season, Adi Hütter is tasked with leading Eintracht Frankfurt back to old strengths.
Andreas Möller, a 1990 World Cup winner with an SGE past, views the Austrian's second tenure positively.
"I am confident that Adi Hütter will bring stability back. With him, Eintracht will make it back into the top third next season and thus into a European competition," Möller stated in an interview with "Bild".
Möller on Hütter: "Stands for attacking football"
Hütter had previously coached the Hessians from 2018 to 2021, reaching, among other things, the semi-finals of the Europa League and the DFB-Pokal. Hütter himself said during his presentation that he "always had the feeling of not being finished yet." He hopes, just like Möller, to build on his first tenure.
"He stands for attacking football, that's what the fans want to see. During his first spell at Eintracht, he naturally had a great framework within the team, which he needs again now. But I think a lot will still happen in terms of transfers," said the Frankfurt native.
Hope for playing time for Eintracht youth
The 58-year-old welcomes that sporting director Markus Krösche, after the experiment with Albert Riera, is now again relying on a coach with a clear playing identity: "Everyone yearns for experience, composure, and balance, which he embodies."
Even though he remembers the Austrian's first tenure very positively, he sees room for improvement in one area. "I hope he now takes a risk when it comes to youth, that he also keeps an eye on the Eintracht youth. That wasn't really the case the first time," Möller criticised.
