Dortmund rejects first Barca offer for Adeyemi

Borussia Dortmund has rejected FC Barcelona's first offer for Karim Adeyemi. This is reported by "Mundo Deportivo".

According to the report, BVB rejected the €20 million offer as insufficient. The Catalans are said to have taken this calmly – apparently aware that Dortmund is not in the best negotiating position.

Adeyemi Already Agrees Terms with Barca

The former Salzburg attacker wants to make the move to the Spanish champions and has already agreed terms with the Catalans.

His contract with the Borussians expires next summer, and an extension offer has been on the table for months. However, it is unlikely that the 24-year-old will sign it.

Lower Transfer Fee Than Salzburg Move in 2022?

Given this, it also seems unrealistic that Dortmund will receive the hoped-for €40 million.

Spanish media tend to assume that the clubs will meet at €30 million – thus below the €33 million that Dortmund transferred to Salzburg in 2022.

In Barcelona, Adeyemi would play again under Hansi Flick, who helped him make his DFB team debut in September 2021.
