Are Adi Hütter and Eintracht Frankfurt strengthening their midfield?

According to "Bild", the Hesse-based club is said to have intensified its efforts to sign Bayern talent Noel Aseko, and the 20-year-old's transfer is reportedly imminent.

The parties are reportedly in intensive talks. Frankfurt is said to have offered the midfielder a long-term contract until 2030 and simultaneously submitted an offer to the Munich club. However, the offer from the Hesse-based club is reportedly still slightly below the expectations of FC Bayern, who are demanding around twelve million euros for Aseko.

Returned to Munich in the Summer

Aseko, who played for Hannover 96 in the 2. Bundesliga last season, only returned to Säbener Straße this summer.

FC Bayern activated a buy-back clause after the second-division club had previously exercised its purchase option.

Aseko's contract in Munich runs until 2028. However, according to the report, the final decision rests with the DFB U21 international, for whom several other clubs are also reportedly interested.

Future at FC Bayern?

Furthermore, Aseko also has a potential future with the record champions: head coach Vincent Kompany is reportedly a big fan of the midfielder and has shown him the prospect of regular playing time.

Following Leon Goretzka's departure, a spot has opened up in central midfield; alongside Aseko, Joshua Kimmich, loan returnee Joao Palhinha, Aleksandar Pavlovic, and Tom Bischof are currently available as further options in the squad.

Kompany already proved his trust in young players during his first season at FC Bayern. This approach is set to continue in the upcoming season. Arijon Ibrahimovic, a talent, was recently persuaded to stay.
