Christopher Olivier celebrates his debut for Brøndby IF.

The 20-year-old ÖFB youngster makes his first appearance for his new club on the seventh matchday of the Danish Superligaen in the home game against Randers FC.

However, the match was already decided by the time he was substituted on. Olivier was brought into the game in the 75th minute, by which point Brøndby was already trailing 0-3. The score remained the same.

ÖFB goalkeeper Patrick Pentz, on the other hand, was in goal for the entire match but was equally unable to prevent the clear home defeat.

Randers Scores Three Times

The visitors got off to a dream start. In just the fourth minute, Elies Mahmoud gave Randers a 1-0 lead, forcing Pentz to pick the ball out of his net for the first time early on.

Brøndby then pushed for an equalizer but remained unsuccessful in front of goal. Instead, Randers extended their lead after the break.

Mike Themsen made it 2-0 in the 66th minute, before Mohamed Sankoh sealed the win just six minutes later (72').

Shortly thereafter, Olivier made his first appearance for Brøndby. However, even the ÖFB youth player could not change anything about the clear defeat.

Brøndby Plummets in the Standings

For Brøndby, it is their second consecutive league defeat. After leading the table after five matchdays, the team has now slipped to fifth place.

They are already five points behind leaders and arch-rivals FC Copenhagen.

Despite the bitter defeat, Olivier can be pleased with his first appearance for Brøndby. The 20-year-old had moved from VfB Stuttgart to Denmark in the summer.
