Furkan Dursun remains in impressive form at FC Thun. The 21-year-old Austrian international once again contributed a goal or assist in the 2-3 away defeat against FC Sion on the seventh matchday of the Swiss Super League.

The match initially started perfectly for the Swiss champions. Jan Bamert gave the visitors the lead in the tenth minute. However, Sion fought their way back into the game: Noe Sow scored the equalizer in the 22nd minute.

Shortly before halftime, Sion further weakened themselves. Fode Sylla received a red card in the 41st minute, meaning Thun played the entire second half with a numerical advantage.

Dursun Sets Up the Equalizer

Despite their numerical superiority, Thun initially fell behind after the break. Donat Rrudhani converted a penalty in the 53rd minute to give Sion a 2-1 lead.

Then Dursun's moment arrived: In the 71st minute, the striker headed a throw-in on to Fabio Fehr, who scored the 2-2 equalizer. For the Austrian international, it is already his ninth goal contribution in the eighth competitive match of the current season.

Thun thus seemed set to take at least a point from Sion. But in stoppage time, things turned very bitter for the visitors: After a corner kick, Josias Lukembila astonishingly managed to score the decisive winner for a 3-2 Sion victory (90.+4).

Daniliuc Also Loses

Besides Dursun, another Austrian international also suffered a defeat. Flavius Daniliuc's FC Basel lost 1-3 at home to FC Lugano.
