In the Footsteps of Rangnick's TSG: Elversberg Causes a Stir
Promoted side Elversberg has started the league with two wins from two matches. Ralf Rangnick last achieved this with TSG Hoffenheim.
The season start could not have gone better for promoted side Elversberg.
With victories against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, they have impressively shown that they absolutely want to and can stay in the league.
With six points and the most goals, they currently sit in third place in the table.
Best Season Start for a Promoted Team Since 2008/09
Only six promoted teams in total have managed two wins to start a season so far.
Ralf Rangnick last achieved this with TSG Hoffenheim in the 2008/09 season. The Kraichgauer even became 'Herbstmeister' (autumn champions) afterwards. Coach Vincent Wagner was visibly pleased after the win in Gladbach: "The game was so awesome!"
