FIFA President Infantino to seek re-election in 2027
Gianni Infantino is heavily criticized after the World Cup. Nevertheless, the FIFA President wants to be re-elected next year.
Under immense pressure, FIFA President Gianni Infantino intends to seek re-election next year.
"The FIFA President announced in April that he would stand for re-election in 2027. Of course, nothing has changed regarding that," a spokesperson for the world football governing body said.
Following the World Cup, numerous international stars like Mats Hummels or Toni Kroos have spoken out against Infantino.
