The pressure on FIFA boss Gianni Infantino is growing!

Amidst the power struggle within FIFA, Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeneß has now also spoken out about the controversial Swiss official.

"I can only advise him to approach UEFA and find a solution," the 74-year-old said in an interview with "RTL/Sky." "From what I hear, it will otherwise be very tight for him in the spring, if he can even stand for election at all."

Infantino intends to run for his fourth term in March. UEFA has already announced that it does not intend to support the Swiss.

Sharp Criticism

The investor plans, the World Cup expansion, and the "Balogun case" also drew Hoeneß's ire. "Mr. Infantino has made several mistakes in his life in football, but that was one of his biggest," the German ranted.

Hoeneß was referring to the rescinded red card for US striker Folarin Balogun at the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

"If you let a man like Donald Trump decide or influence whether a player is suspended or not, that is the beginning of the end, of the competition. And if we accept something like that, then it's no longer my sport. That, for me, was an impossibility."
