Como 1907 is on the verge of signing Yan Couto.

According to consistent media reports, the parent club of Austrian international Stefan Posch is securing the services of the Borussia Dortmund full-back.

The Brazilian (24) is expected to move to Lake Como on loan with an option to buy.

BVB likely to recoup transfer fee

Couto had permanently moved from Manchester City to BVB for 20 million euros in summer 2025. Prior to that, he had already played one season on loan for the Black and Yellows.

In Dortmund, however, the technically gifted defender mostly had to play second fiddle to Norwegian Julian Ryerson.

Como's option to buy for the four-time Brazilian international is now also reportedly set at 20 million euros.

High-profile competitor for Posch?

For Stefan Posch, who was on loan to German Bundesliga club Mainz 05 last spring, the Couto deal would mean high-profile competition.

The Styrian's future is officially still unclear; the 29-year-old defensive all-rounder still has a contract in northern Italy until summer 2029.

Ignace van der Brempt, a former Red Bull Salzburg player, is part of head coach Cesc Fabregas's squad.
