Schalke coach Muslic likely to get Lindström replacement
A Frankfurt player is expected to join for the right-wing position. He is set to play alongside Dejan Ljubicic.
Junior Dina Ebimbe is on the verge of a move from Eintracht Frankfurt to promoted side Schalke 04. Coach Miron Muslic plans to use the Cameroonian for the right wing-back position.
The 25-year-old was not in the plans of former Salzburg coach Adi Hütter. At Schalke, Ebimbe is expected to sign a contract until 2028, with an option for an additional year.
According to "Sky Sport", Eintracht Frankfurt will receive around one million euros for him and have a 25% sell-on clause.
Replacement for Jesper Lindström
The Austrian coach Muslic originally wanted to have Jesper Lindström in this position. Schalke and Napoli had already agreed on the transfer of the Dane.
However, the Gelsenkirchen club then withdrew from the transfer when Napoli reportedly made retrospective contract adjustments.
The Italians deny these accusations and claim that the injuries to Gosens and Ljubicic were the reason for Schalke's realignment in the transfer market.
