BVB to get a rain of millions? Jaissle could sign DFB star
Felix Nmecha could join a Premier League club – if a key player there moves to Arsenal.
Is Felix Nmecha heading to the island?
As reported by "L’Équipe", Newcastle United is said to be interested in the midfielder. The German international is being touted as a successor to Bruno Guimaraes – the Brazilian is reportedly on the wish list of champions Arsenal.
While the "Magpies" are reportedly close to agreeing on 90 million euros with the "Gunners" according to the French sports newspaper, Nmecha could bring a rain of money to BVB.
BVB pain threshold at 120 million euros?
Rumors already surfaced at the end of June that the 25-year-old had attracted interest from several top clubs. According to "Bild", BVB's pain threshold was reportedly around 120 million euros at the time.
However, sporting director Ole Book had already hinted to "Sport Bild" that the former Wolfsburg player should be kept in the Ruhr area.
According to the sports tabloid, Nmecha is likely to have an 80-million-euro release clause in his contract, which runs until 2030, but it is not expected to come into effect until 2027. In 2028, the fee is said to be 10 million euros less.
A countryman is likely awaiting him on the island, former Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle is reportedly on the verge of joining Newcastle United.
