Just a few days ago, FC Red Bull Salzburg sold Danish player Adam Daghim to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for 13 million Euros.

Now, the "Mozartstadters" could make a move for Andreas Schicker's club – again. According to the "Salzburger Nachrichten," Salzburg is reportedly showing "strong interest" in Hoffenheim talent Deniz Zeitler (19).

The "SN" cites information from the club's inner circle. Accordingly, negotiations between the "Bulls" and Hoffenheim are reportedly already underway. However, Bundesliga promoted side SC Paderborn also has Zeitler on their radar.

Top Scorer for His Team

The two-footed left winger particularly impresses with his speed and also demonstrated his goal-scoring threat last season. After moving from Ingolstadt to Hoffenheim in summer 2025, he became the top scorer for Hoffenheim II in the 3. Liga (15 goals in 38 games).

The Germany U20 international is still waiting for a competitive appearance for the first team. However, under head coach Christian Ilzer this season, he has already played in five test matches (twice in the starting XI, three goals).

Transfer Fee Likely More Expensive Than for Tabakovic

According to the "SN", Zeitler is expected to cost over five million Euros – which is more than Salzburg paid Hoffenheim for Haris Tabakovic. The Bosnian international striker reportedly cost five million Euros.
