The Englishman caused a stir with his visit; now the club issues a clear statement.
Jadon Sancho has paid a training visit to English tenth-tier club FC Flixton.
After the former Manchester United player has yet to find a new club, he caused a stir elsewhere. His visit led to plenty of speculation.
Club Issues Statement
Now the club has released a clear message.
"To be clear: Jadon was not on trial with the club and there were no transfer talks," a press release states. It was merely a private session.
Furthermore, it states: "We thank Jadon for choosing Flixton FC as a training location and wish him great success for the next stage of his career, which will undoubtedly take place at a level far exceeding where we currently play. Our doors will always be open to him."
Nevertheless, the 26-year-old left an impression. He showed himself to be thoroughly professional and took time for fans.
Future Currently Open
Sancho moved from BVB to ManUnited in 2021, but was repeatedly loaned out, most recently to Aston Villa.
