Former WAC Player as Danso Teammate? Turks Remain Adamant
Three English clubs are interested in the centre-back, but no agreement is in sight yet.
Chibuike Nwaiwu (23) was considered one of the best players in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga during his time at WAC. Accordingly, in January 2026, Trabzonspor transferred 5.5 million Euros towards Lavanttal.
The Nigerian has since impressed in Trabzon as well, with the next step now beckoning. For some time now, rumors have been circulating about a move to Fulham or Crystal Palace.
No Agreement in Sight

Trabzonspor President Ertugrul Dogan is quoted by Gundem Artvin as follows: "The offers for Chibuike Nwaiwu were far below our expectations. Under these circumstances, we are absolutely not thinking about selling him."
30 Million Euro Transfer Fee Demanded?
The player will remain with the team for now. Nwaiwu has a market value of ten million Euros and a contract until 2030.
According to reports, Trabzonspor is said to be demanding 30 million Euros and more.
