Inter Deal Collapses: Former Salzburg Player Solet Wants to Leave Udinese
The Frenchman had reportedly agreed terms with Inter, but his club blocked the move.
Oumar Solet (26) moved to Udinese Calcio as a free agent in winter 2025, after his contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg was terminated in September 2024.
This move marked the end of a protracted transfer saga. After a strong start, the Frenchman increasingly drew attention for a lack of discipline due to failed transfers.
Solet Plans Departure
Now, as reported by "Tutto Udinese," he is seeking to depart from his current club. The defender had reportedly agreed terms with Inter, but Udinese and the champions were unable to reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, Inter has signed John Stones as a free agent, and Christian Romero (Tottenham Hotspur) is also considered a hot candidate.
Still at the Club
Solet's Inter deal is thus as good as off the table. However, the center-back is still considering a move and has reportedly inquired about it with Udinese Calcio. The transfer window is still open.
Despite the rumors and speculation, Solet is currently training normally with his club. He is still contracted to the club until 2027 and has a market value of 23 million Euros.
