Confirmed! Veteran Henderson joins top club
Jordan Henderson will now play for Chelsea. Xabi Alonso has been manager there since summer.
Former Liverpool midfield star, Jordan Henderson, is moving to Stamford Bridge to join Chelsea.
There he will play under Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard also played in midfield for the Reds until 2009, becoming an icon there.
Henderson signs a contract until 2028 and arrives on a free transfer from Brentford. The 36-year-old made 35 appearances for the "Bees" last season.
For Henderson, it's a kind of return. He played his first Premier League game at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. Back then, he was still playing for Sunderland.
