Thierno Ballo's (24) future is as good as settled.

While Wolfsberger AC travels to its training camp in Maria Alm on Wednesday morning, the final details of the ÖFB attacker's transfer are being clarified.

This was revealed by WAC head coach Thomas Silberberger and Ballo's agent Peter Huemerlehner to "Krone".

Three Million Euro Transfer Fee

Accordingly, the deal with AS Saint-Etienne is finalized.

Huemerlehner says: "Thierno could have been on a plane long ago. But payments still need to be made by WAC, and things look very good for that! If everything goes well, he could head for his medical check as early as Wednesday."

Ballo, who was not allowed to travel to the training camp and thus also drew the attention of the "VdF", is expected to bring in a transfer fee of around three million euros for the Lavanttal club.

Replacement Expected – Who Will Be the New Captain?

Second-division side Saint-Etienne (ten-time French champions) narrowly missed promotion to Ligue 1 last season.

Should Ballo depart, a replacement player is to be signed. The names of Dominik Fitz and Nik Prelec are still circulating around the Lavanttal Arena.

During the training camp in the Salzburg holiday resort, a new captain is also to be determined on Sunday, following the departure of Dominik Baumgartner.
