These are the new kits of SK Sturm Graz
The Bundesliga runner-up has unveiled its new gear.
SK Sturm Graz has presented its new kits for the upcoming season.
At home, the "Blackies", who are supplied by Nike, traditionally play in black – albeit with a subtle chessboard pattern.
Away, they opt for white with narrow, black stripes.
For the third kit, the Graz side is taking an unusual approach: Fabio Ingolitsch's team will henceforth play in green. The Styrian coat of arms is visible on the chest.
Tebbich: "Connection to Graz and Styria"
Sturm's Sporting Director, Thomas Tebbich, emphasises Sturm's regional roots in a statement on the club's website:
"When designing our kits, it is important for us every year to make the identity of SK Sturm visible – our colours, our history, and this year, the connection to Graz and Styria. With the home kit, we pick up on the history of Sturm's black jerseys and interpret them in a modern way, while the away kit brings back a traditional element with its classic stripes."
Tebbich is particularly pleased with the third kit, "which clearly expresses our regional roots with the Styrian coat of arms and the Styrian heart. Together with Nike, we have succeeded in developing a kit set that very well combines tradition, modernity and a sense of home."
First SMU Kits
"Thanks to the further deepened cooperation with Nike, it was possible this year to use so-called SMU (Special Made Unit) kits, which allow for even more individually designed kit designs," explains Sturm's Commercial Director Thomas Tebbich.
The kits are available now online and in all Sturm fan shops.
