Wife Killed in 2016 Avalanche Accident
The happy news comes almost exactly ten years after a tragedy: In July 2016, his wife Matilda died in an avalanche accident.
After even considering retirement at one point, Hargin fought his way back and once again secured bronze in the team event at the 2017 World Championships in St. Moritz.
During his career, the former slalom racer stood on the World Cup podium seven times, celebrating his only victory in the 2015 slalom in Kitzbühel.
