Reportedly Confirmed: He Will Be New ÖSV Secretary General
After Christian Scherer's surprising departure, the ÖSV was searching for a successor. Now the decision on the new Secretary General appears to have been made.
Two months ago, Christian Scherer surprisingly announced his move to the private sector, presenting the Austrian Ski Association with a dilemma.
After six years as ÖSV Secretary General, the 41-year-old is moving to the management board of the HTI cable car group.
Since the announcement of his departure, the ÖSV had been searching for a successor. As reported by "Kurier", a final hearing has now taken place in Kitzbühel.
Five candidates from various fields – including the ski industry, sports marketing, and sports politics – were invited for this.
Decision Made
The decision is said to have been made there: Tyrolean Jan Überall, currently serving as Secretary General of the Kitzbühel Ski Club, emerged victorious.
His experience in organizing major events such as the Hahnenkamm Races, as well as his extensive network, are said to have been particularly decisive.
