Bode Miller arrested for drug offense
The two-time overall World Cup winner must appear in court at the end of July.
Bode Miller has been arrested in the USA for a drug offense.
The prosecutor's office in the US state of Idaho is accusing the former ski superstar of possession of narcotics on the one hand, and drug paraphernalia on the other.
The incident is reportedly linked to an event on June 6, as "TMZ Sports" reports.
Miller released on bail
The two-time overall World Cup winner is now free after being released on a $5,000 bail bond.
Miller, represented by his lawyer, has already pleaded "not guilty" on both counts. On July 29, the 48-year-old must appear in court for a preliminary hearing.
The 33-time World Cup winner is the most successful US skier in history. In addition to the two large Crystal Globes, he has won six discipline World Cups (twice Super-G, once giant slalom, three times combined), six Olympic medals (gold in 2010 in Vancouver / Super Combined), and five at World Championships (four times gold).
