Ex-Skier Runggaldier Seriously Injured in Accident
The Italian was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident.
Peter Runggaldier was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday.
This was reported by the daily newspaper "L‘Adige". The two-time World Cup winner from Italy reportedly collided with a female cyclist on the Pordoi Pass.
The 57-year-old former ski racer was flown to a hospital in Trento. The 30-year-old female cyclist also sustained serious injuries and had to be taken to Bolzano.
Runggaldier won silver in the downhill at the 1991 World Championships and claimed the Super-G World Cup in 1995.
