Another milestone for Austrian Tennis Federation (ÖTV) talent Thilo Behrmann!

The 18-year-old from Burgenland qualified for the "World Tennis Junior Finals 2026", formerly known as the "ITF Junior Finals". The tournament will take place from October 21st to 25th.

The competition is modeled after the ATP and WTA Finals. The best eight junior players of the year in the "18-and-under" age category qualify for this prestigious tournament. The tournament winner will be determined first in two groups of four, followed by knockout matches.

Tomorrow's World Stars

This year, Behrmann made a splash at the junior Grand Slam tournaments. At the French Open, he reached the quarterfinals, and at the US Open, his journey even extended to the semifinals. Both times, he was defeated by Luis Miguel, who, however, will not participate in the Finals.

In the past, several renowned players have managed to win the World Tennis Junior Finals. Andrey Rublev, Brandon Nakashima, Holger Rune, and three years ago, Joel Schwärzler, have already immortalized themselves on the list of winners. Furthermore, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, and rising star Rafael Jodar have reached the final in recent years.
