The world No. 1 shares his decision via Instagram. He will therefore not compete in the Vienna tournament.
Early end to the season for Jannik Sinner!
As the world No. 1 announced via "Instagram", he will not play again this tennis season. The last tournament the Italian played was Wimbledon in July 2026.
"Together with the doctors, I have decided that my knee needs further treatment. This means that the 2026 season is over," Sinner says in the video.
It is therefore also clear that the Erste Bank Open in Vienna will lose its top star. Sinner was originally announced for the ATP 500 tournament in the Stadthalle.
