Tagger Reaches Doubles Quarterfinals in Suzhou
The 18-year-old showcased her doubles prowess in China, successfully advancing through the Round of 16 with her German partner.
Lilli Tagger and her German partner Tamara Korpatsch have reached the doubles quarterfinals in Suzhou (China).
The Austrian-German duo defeated the Taiwanese pair Cho/Cho 6:2, 0:6, 10:6 in the Round of 16 at the Challenger event.
The Taiwanese pair dropped their serve three times in the first set, with the last of these breaks securing the set for Tagger/Korpatsch.
The second set did not go well at all for the Austrian and her German partner: they conceded three breaks and failed to win a single game.
However, Tagger/Korpatsch ultimately prevailed 10:6 in the decisive match tie-break to advance to the next round. There, they await either the Japanese duo Kobori/Shimizu or the winners of the match between Prozorova/Sasnovich (RUS/BLR) and Dang/You (CHN).
