Medvedev hits fan! Djokovic advances to final in Beijing
The Serb also beats Daniil Medvedev and is in the final. There he will face Australian Alex de Minaur.
Novak Djokovic is in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing!
The match was prematurely ended at a score of 5:3 in the second set, as Medvedev shot a ball towards the stands, hitting a spectator.
The Serb thus defeats Russia's Daniil Medvedev (world No. 5) in the semi-finals in two sets, 7:5, 5:3, and consequently reaches the tournament's final.
Now de Minaur awaits
There he will now face world No. 9 Alex de Minaur from Australia, who advanced to the final after Hubert Hurkacz of Poland retired.
Should Djokovic win this match, it would be his first tour title this year and the 102nd of his career overall.
