Roster Planning Completed: Defender Strengthens Black Wings
The 33-year-old was sidelined for eighteen months recently. He has gathered extensive experience in several top leagues.
The Black Wings finalize their roster planning and sign Vojtěch Mozík.
The 33-year-old Czech joins on an initial tryout contract valid until September – he had to take an eighteen-month break recently due to a knee injury – and will wear jersey number 47. The defender is 1.90 meters tall and weighs 90 kilograms on the ice.
CHL Winner and Two-Time Olympian
Mozík looks back on experience from stints in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils, with the farm team in Albany in the AHL, KHL, SHL, and the Czech Extraliga. The defender has played 450 competitive games in the top leagues. He won the Champions Hockey League with Rögle BK.
For years, Mozík was a regular member of the Czech national team, representing the Czech Republic twice at the Olympics.
With this season's ninth new signing, the Black Wings conclude their roster planning – subject to all outstanding medical checks. This leaves two potential import spots open for the start of training.
