Cruciate Ligaments Torn! Ski Jumper Out for Entire Winter
It's already clear in mid-summer: The 22-year-old will miss the upcoming winter due to injury.
For Emma Chervet, the 2026/27 World Cup winter is already over in mid-summer 2026.
As "Nordic Magazine" reports, the 22-year-old World Cup ski jumper suffered a serious knee injury during a training session on the Olympic hill in Courchevel.
"She will get an MRI soon, but the cruciate ligaments are torn and she is out for this winter," France's ski jumping director Étienne Gouy is quoted by "Nordic Magazine".
Chervet: "See you again in a few months"
Chervet sustained the injury upon landing. "We'll see each other again in a few months," the emotional Frenchwoman writes on Instagram.
Chervet first scored World Cup points in 2024. Her best result in an individual competition was 19th place in February 2025 in Hinzenbach.
At the 2026 Olympic Games, she finished 43rd on the normal hill and 45th on the large hill. She also placed ninth with the French mixed team.
