British tennis number one fears for her participation at the US Open: Emma Raducanu is currently suffering from an injury she sustained during the grass-court season.
As a result, the 23-year-old also had to skip Wimbledon.
According to British media reports, the 2021 US Open winner has decided to miss the Grand Slam.
Form struggles since tournament victory
The world number 49 has been battling injuries since her surprise success five years ago. It was only in June that Raducanu reached her first final since her US Open triumph at London's Queen's Club.
However, the injury in her right leg has now once again thwarted her plans. A return to the scene of her greatest triumph will likely remain denied to her.
