"MaxiNutrition" Makes a Strong Statement for Austria's Young Talent

The support for the "MaxiNutrition Junior Class" is straightforward, direct, and effective.

According to the company, which specializes in sports nutrition and functional food, it has launched a mentoring program "fully geared towards supporting young sports talents on their path to outstanding achievements."

LAOLA1 had the opportunity to witness firsthand at the 3rd "MaxiNutrition Sport Challenge" in the Sport Arena Wien how the collaboration between tomorrow's potential stars and prominent local sports figures works.

Dorfmeister Helps as a Mentor

Two-time Olympic champion and two-time World Champion Michaela Dorfmeister acts as a mentor.

The Lower Austrian ski legend supports young talents with advice and practical assistance. With her experience and passion for the sport, she helps young athletes recognize their own strengths and utilize them to the best of their abilities.

"I am frequently asked how I once dealt with this or that situation, how I behave during interviews in front of TV cameras, or how I spend the last minutes before the start to focus optimally," says the winner of 25 World Cup races.

Dorfmeister knows how crucial support is for young talents. She listens to the concerns of the young athletes and tries to help in a straightforward manner.

Thomas Gerdenitsch – CEO of Krüger Austria – is impressed by how well-known sports personalities stand by aspiring talents and support them on their way to the top.

Leistungssport Austria Supports the Challenge

Funds are raised for Austrian youth sports through a joint initiative, the annual "MaxiNutrition Sport Challenge," which takes place with the support of Leistungssport Austria (LSA).

Alongside plenty of team spirit, ambition, and athletic action, talents, former athletes, and celebrities aim to make a difference together.

The teams determined their winners in three disciplines: Fitness Challenge, Volleyball Tournament, and Rowing Challenge.

Ski Talent from Lunz am See Leads Winning Team

Lower Austria's ski talent Angelika Dallhammer, who is currently fighting her way back from a cruciate ligament injury and found an important "supervisor" in mentor Michaela Dorfmeister, won a donation of 8,000 Euros for youth sports with her teammates Mirjam Puchner, influencer Michael Blauensteiner, and sports ace Thomas Stütz.

Participants in the 3rd Challenge of this kind included top athlete Ivona Dadic, former tennis professionals Stefan Koubek and Dennis Novak, former skier Mirjam Puchner, snowboarder Andreas Prommegger, former beach volleyball professional Clemens Doppler, former ice hockey professional Patrick Peter, and Alexander Schneller, director of Circus Pikard.

Working Out Together for a Good Cause

LSA board member Stefan Grubhofer and SPORTLAND Lower Austria division manager Christoph Henneis also participated.

Together with MaxiNutrition Junior Class athletes Angelika Dallhammer (Alpine Skiing), Raphael Kokas (Track Cycling), and Magdalena Rauter (Pole Vault), they demonstrated what can be achieved with motivation and team spirit.

"With the MaxiNutrition Sport Challenge, we want to show how much power lies in community. When active and former elite athletes, young talents, and prominent personalities compete together for a good cause, far more than a competition is created – namely, a strong statement for Austrian youth sports," explains Theresa Bichler, Marketing & Communication at KRÜGER AUSTRIA, the organizer of the Challenge.
