Renewed Uproar Around Infantino: 2030 World Cup Final for Morocco?
In return for their loyal support, the FIFA President is reportedly dangling the World Cup Final.
Reports concerning FIFA President Gianni Infantino keep coming.
The 56-year-old is now reportedly offering co-host Morocco the opportunity to host the 2030 World Cup Final, in return for their loyal support. This was reported by "The Times", among others.
However, FIFA did not wish to issue a statement after an inquiry from the British newspaper.
In addition to Morocco, the World Cup will also take place in Spain and Portugal, with three matches being held in South America. Officially, however, there is no venue for the final yet.
Infantino under Pressure
Infantino is under pressure following his failed plan to sell World Cup rights to private investors. Most recently, the European leagues, among others, have also opposed him (More on this >>>).
Nevertheless, the president is still holding onto his re-election in 2027 for his final term.
