Will Former Salzburg Player Become Teammate of Austrian Talent in Spain?
After his winter transfer to Italy, the Serb is already on the chopping block again. A loan move to Spain is now becoming increasingly concrete.
As the top scorer of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, Petar Ratkov left FC Red Bull Salzburg in January 2026 for Rome.
However, just half a year later, the 23-year-old Serb no longer plays a major role in the club's plans. The signs that their paths will part, at least temporarily, this summer are intensifying.
As reported by transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, a basic agreement has been reached between Lazio Rome and UD Levante on a loan transfer.
New Teammate for Ndukwe?
A fee of one million euros is due for the loan, and the LaLiga club also has a purchase option worth 14 million euros.
They are said to have edged out FC Sevilla in the pursuit of the former Salzburg striker. The Spanish sports newspaper "As" also confirms such reports.
At UD Levante, he is expected to offset the departure of Carlos Espí to Real Madrid. He would join Austrian U17 vice-world champion Ifeanyi Ndukwe at the LaLiga club. The loan player from FC Liverpool is under contract with the "Granotes" until the end of the season.
