Barcelona celebrates their third win in their third league match, defeating Rayo Vallecano 5-2.

However, the match started anything but ideally for Barcelona. During a counter-attack, Kounde was too easily shaken off by Garcia (12'). Garcia then played a strong pass into the middle, where Camello calmly slotted home to give Rayo the lead.

The Catalans' response, however, didn't take long. Raphinha received the ball about 25 meters from goal, picked up pace, and fired from the edge of the box to equalize (19'). Just two minutes later, the game was turned around: Yamal scored with a powerful long-range shot to give Barcelona a 2-1 lead (21').

Raphinha bags a brace

Even after the break, Barcelona remained in control and capitalized on their first big chance. After a mistake in the build-up, Olmo played a strong pass through to Gordon. The new signing intended to set up the onrushing Raphinha, but Lejeune inadvertently put the ball into his own net during an attempted clearance (51').

Rayo Vallecano, however, did not give up. After a corner kick, Camello bagged his brace and pulled the hosts back to 2-3 (59').

However, hopes of a comeback did not last long. In the 71st minute, Raphinha also scored his second goal, making it 4-2 and sealing the decision. Yamal put the final touch on the 5-2 scoreline in the 90th minute with a precise low shot.

Thus, Flick's squad stands at the top of the table after three matchdays, level on points with Real Madrid.
