Austrian prospect Ifeanyi Ndukwe must continue to wait for his debut for his new club UD Levante.

On the fourth matchday of La Liga, Levante earned a point against promoted side FC Malaga. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Levante keeps clean sheet without Ndukwe

The La Liga club's defense looked strong even without the Austrian youngster.

After also not conceding a goal in the second round against Osasuna, Levante has now kept a clean sheet for the second time this young season. Thus, coach Luis Castro continues to have little reason to change the defensive setup.

However, the match started rather suboptimally for Levante: Right-back Perez caused an early penalty with a handball. But goalkeeper Mathew Ryan emerged as the hero. The 34-year-old Australian saved Chupe's ensuing spot-kick in the ninth minute.

Subsequently, Levante came closer to taking the lead, but it ultimately remained a goalless draw. "Les Granotes" are ranked tenth in the table with five points after four games.

Debut against Barca?

Ifeanyi Ndukwe must therefore wait at least another week for his potential debut in the Levante jersey.

Next Sunday presents the next opportunity for the 1.98-meter-tall defender. Levante hosts mighty FC Barcelona, who have so far cruised through the league and recently comfortably defeated FC Valencia (4:15 PM in the LIVE ticker).

Whether Ndukwe will actually feature then remains to be seen. However, one could hardly imagine a more memorable debut than against Barca.
