Mohamed Salah has found a new club. After nine years at Liverpool FC, the Egyptian is moving on to Turkey.

However, the 34-year-old is not moving to Istanbul, where Besiktas had long been considered the favourite for a transfer. Instead, he is joining Trabzonspor.

The Black Sea club finished third in the Turkish Süper Lig last season. Additionally, Salah could potentially meet Austrian international Muhammed Cham in the future. The Viennese player is currently on loan from Trabzon to Red Star Belgrade.

Next Big Name in Turkey

Salah is thus the next big name to set up camp in Turkey. This summer, players such as Mason Greenwood and Leandro Trossard have already moved to the Süper Lig.

According to reports, Salah is set to become the second-highest paid player in Turkey with a net annual salary of 17 million euros. Only Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray is reportedly set to earn more.
