Salzburg Opponent Levski Sofia Loses Supercup Final

Levski Sofia suffered their first domestic defeat of the current season on Wednesday.

The reigning Bulgarian champions lost the Supercup final 2-4 to cup winners and city rivals ZSKA Sofia.

Levski Sofia took the lead in the first half through Serginho (40'), before ZSKA Sofia turned the game around after the break. In the closing stages, Dimitrov (Levski) and Ebong (ZSKA) were shown straight red cards (81'). The referee also issued several yellow cards.

In the league, Levski Sofia are currently top of the table with eight wins from eight matches. The 27-time Bulgarian champions will host FC Salzburg next Thursday for their Europa League opener in Sofia (from 6:45 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
