Not Retiring After All! Alexander Gorgon Continues Career
The 37-year-old announced his retirement in May – now he is continuing his career in the Polish lower league.
A U-turn on retirement – Alexander Gorgon is not quitting just yet.
In May, the former Austria Wien championship player declared his career at SCR Altach over. Just over a month later, the veteran is retracting that decision.
Return to Poland
The Vienna native is returning to Poland and signing with third-division club Swit Stettin. Gorgon previously played for city rivals Pogon from 2020 to 2025.
During the winter transfer window of the 2024/25 season, the now 37-year-old returned to Austria – for Altach, he made 35 appearances in one and a half years, contributing one goal and one assist.
