After his extra-large squad for his first training camp, fans in Germany were eager to see which players would make it into head coach Jürgen Klopp's 24-man Germany squad.

In Borussia Mönchengladbach's Wael Mohya, Klopp has named only a single debutant for the upcoming Nations League fixtures. The 17-year-old German-Moroccan has played a key role in the "Foals'" recent surge in form with two goals and an assist.

Meanwhile, Niclas Füllkrug of SV Werder Bremen is celebrating his return to the national team. The 33-year-old is currently among the most in-form players in the German Bundesliga, having scored in eight consecutive matches across all competitions.

Notable absentees

In addition to several debutants such as Hennes Behrens, Vitaly Janelt, Felix Keidel, and Mika Baur, established players including Nick Woltemade, Nadiem Amiri, David Raum, Karim Adeyemi, Yann Aurel Bisseck, and Jonathan Burkardt have also failed to make the cut. FC Bayern Munich duo Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry miss out due to injury.

In the upcoming Nations League double-header, Germany first travel to face Serbia (13 Nov), before closing out the international year three days later with a home fixture in Berlin against the Netherlands (16 Nov).
