For the now 33-year-old, it is a return to the DFB team. The 24-time international last featured in June 2025. Under Jürgen Klopp, he is now likely to celebrate his comeback.

The reason for this is his enormous surge in performance since his return to Bremen this summer.
Füllkrug has scored twelve goals in ten competitive matches so far for the club of Austrian internationals Marco Friedl and Marco Grüll.
