Over the past five years, RB Leipzig has generated 776.17 million Euros from player sales.

The record transfer is youngster Yan Diomande, who moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2026 for 125 million Euros. But that's not all. According to "Sport Bild", the Saxons recently set their budget for the upcoming year, aiming for the 500 million mark.

This will again require at least 100 million Euros from player sales, it is reported. However, this dependency is expected to be gradually reduced in the coming years.

Several Candidates

According to the report, central defender Castello Lukeba, attacker Romulo, and market value risers Antonio Nusa, Tidiam Gomis, and Ezechiel Banzuzi are considered internal candidates.

Ideally, however, unlike in previous years, not all key players will be sold. The currently loaned players Conrad Harder (Strasbourg), Arthur Vermeeren (Antwerp), Lutsharel Geertruida (PSV), El Chadaille Bitshiabu (Galatasaray), and Eljif Elmas (Bergamo) are also expected to generate revenue.

RB's new salary model is proving successful. No player is expected to earn more than five million Euros. Even this amount will likely only be reached by top earners if the club qualifies for the UEFA Champions League.

Mixed Season Start

Currently, things are inconsistent for Martin Demichelis' team. While they are fully on track at home, they have already suffered too many setbacks away from home. The return of Austrian star Christoph Baumgartner also offers hope.

The attacking midfielder has so far made three brief substitute appearances since his severe thigh injury, scoring three goals and assisting one. Most recently, in the cup against third-tier side Essen, his brace saved the "Red Bulls" from embarrassment (All info >>>).
