Krösche's Successor: Hütter's Club Narrows Down Candidates
Only two contenders remain in the race for the new sporting director position. A long-time associate of Adi Hütter is no longer among them.
In the search for a successor to long-time sporting director Markus Krösche, only two candidates remain in the running at Eintracht Frankfurt.
As reported by "Sky" reporter Florian Plettenberg on Wednesday, the decision is expected to be made between Nürnberg's sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou and Leipzig's sporting director Marcel Schäfer. It is expected to be made shortly.
Discussions are said to have already taken place between Chatzialexiou and Eintracht's Managing Director Axel Hellmann, as well as the Frankfurt supervisory board.
Former Hütter Associate Out of the Running
Meanwhile, a move for former Frankfurt player Christoph Spycher from Young Boys Bern to Frankfurt is reportedly off the table.
Adi Hütter's long-time associate during his time as head coach at the Swiss top club will remain with his current club and is no longer being considered by Frankfurt. The duo led the club to its first league title in 32 years in 2018.
