Adi Hütter comments on Frankfurt's Sporting Director departure
The Austrian coach currently has no sporting director. One of his compatriots has already declined.
A new era has begun at Eintracht Frankfurt following the departure of sporting director Markus Krösche.
On Friday, coach Adi Hütter also commented on the personnel change at the press conference ahead of the Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund.
The 56-year-old from Vorarlberg expressed confidence that the Hessen club is well-positioned even without their long-serving sporting director.
"Axel Hellmann also clearly stated yesterday that we don't have to worry about the future here. There is a clear plan even without Markus. Together with Matthis Beck, someone who fits the club will be sought," Hütter explained.
Hütter Stays Out of Sporting Director Search
However, the Austrian will not actively participate in the search for a new sporting director.
The new CEO Axel Hellmann, as well as President and Supervisory Board Chairman Mathias Beck, will keep him updated on developments.
"Despite everything, I will focus on my core competence, which is being a coach," Hütter clarified.
Until a successor to Krösche is appointed, Hellmann will provisionally take over responsibility for sporting matters. A decision on the new appointment is expected within a few weeks.
Krösche Visited Hütter Personally
Hütter also spoke in more detail for the first time about the circumstances under which he learned of Krösche's departure.
"Markus informed me on Sunday morning. We then met at my apartment and had a great conversation for an hour and a half," reported the former Salzburg, YB, Gladbach, and Monaco coach.
Hütter particularly appreciates that Krösche visited him personally. "I highly, highly credit Markus for stopping by personally and informing me," emphasized the 56-year-old.
Krösche's time at Eintracht ended last Sunday after more than five years. The 45-year-old is being linked with a move to AC Milan.
