Bayern to miss key player for weeks
The Colombian sustained a muscle injury against Arsenal. This leaves the Munich side's attack increasingly thin.
FC Bayern Munich will have to do without Luis Diaz in the coming weeks.
The Colombian sustained a small muscle fiber tear in his thigh during the 2-2 draw against Arsenal (Match Report>>>).
Vincent Kompany had previously given the all-clear, but examinations by the Munich club's medical department now confirm a longer spell on the sidelines. Diaz is thus likely to miss both Bundesliga top matches against SC Freiburg on Sunday and against BVB the following Saturday.
Another Muscle Injury
Diaz was not even in the starting XI against the "Gunners". He was only substituted on in the 68th minute, but could not finish the game. He was substituted off due to injury shortly before the end.
This means Bayern's personnel situation in attack is slowly becoming somewhat thin. Coach Vincent Kompany also has to do without Jamal Musiala due to a muscle injury.
Against Arsenal, left-back Alphonso Davies started on Diaz's usual left attacking flank.
