Diagnosis Confirmed: Maximilian Wöber Sidelined by Injury at Schalke
The defender will be unavailable for his club for the time being. He only made his starting XI debut for Schalke on the penultimate matchday.
Austrian international Maximilian Wöber is out injured again.
The defender from FC Schalke 04 had to prematurely stop training with the German Bundesliga club on Tuesday and was subsequently driven off the pitch in a golf cart. Now there is a diagnosis.
As the "Royal Blues" announced on Thursday, the 28-year-old has sustained a thigh injury. "He is unavailable until further notice," the club announced. Schalke provided no details on the exact recovery time.
Another Setback
For Wöber, the injury is another setback: The defender was already unavailable for SV Werder Bremen for large parts of last season.
This season, he had fought his way back at Schalke and celebrated his starting XI debut against SC Freiburg in mid-October.
