In the final fifteen minutes, Christoph Baumgartner celebrates his long-awaited comeback after his injury. He immediately gets on the scoresheet.
In the 78th minute, it finally happens! Christoph Baumgartner makes his comeback 157 days after his last competitive match (a 1-4 defeat against Freiburg).
The ÖFB star returns on Europe's biggest stage. The attacking player was directly involved in the 3-1 consolation goal. He sets up Gomis' goal (85th minute).
Baumgartner had sustained a thigh injury before the World Cup. The 26-year-old can therefore be counted on again for the international matches in an ÖFB jersey in November.
