"Looks good" - Wimmer provides update after injury
The ÖFB international is targeting his comeback in November.
Patrick Wimmer gives his first update since sustaining a muscle injury almost two weeks ago.
"I'm doing well. We now have a new MRI every week," the ÖFB international said during halftime of the Europa League match between Hoffenheim and Olympique Lyon on "RTL".
A return before the international break?
When TSG announced the thigh injury, it was stated that Wimmer would likely be "out until the next international break in November".
However, the attacking player is now a bit more optimistic: "The initial plan was to wait until the next international break. But we're now taking it week by week, and it looks good."
Although the previous MRI results were "good", "I'm not yet working with the ball on the pitch". According to Wimmer, that should happen in the next few days. Nevertheless, he wants to be "cautious" until the international break.
