Patrick Wimmer out for weeks!
The Austrian international already missed TSG Hoffenheim's matchday 8 due to injury and will continue to be out for an extended period.
Bad news for Patrick Wimmer!
As announced by his club, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, on Sunday, the Austrian international has suffered a muscle injury to his posterior thigh.
Consequently, the Lower Austrian will now be unavailable for weeks, as the club announced. Wimmer is expected to "miss until the next international break in November".
No ÖFB appearance in November?
Wimmer played in all of Hoffenheim's matches at the start of the season. Last Saturday, in the 2-3 defeat against HSV (Match report >>>), the player from Tulln was absent from the TSG squad for the first time. Now it's clear why.
Wimmer was one of the most important players for the Austrian national team in the last four Nations League matches. However, the attacking player is now in danger of missing the upcoming international matches against Ireland (14.11.) and Israel (17.11.).
