According to Hoeneß: Kompany set to return to Bayern bench
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is recovering from meningitis. Uli Hoeneß has now raised the prospect of a return after the international break.
Vincent Kompany, the head coach of FC Bayern Munich, could be back on the touchline very soon. At least that is according to honorary president Uli Hoeneß.
Speaking on Bavarian television's "Sonntags-Stammtisch", the 74-year-old confirmed that a return for the Belgian is possible "in two or three weeks".
"After the international break, he will be back on the bench," Hoeneß expressed optimistically.
Health top priority
Kompany could therefore make his comeback on the Bayern bench on November 20 in the league match against 1. FC Köln. Following his collapse just over two weeks ago, the Belgian is currently still recovering from meningitis.
The club emphasized very clearly over the past few weeks that the Belgian's health is the top priority.
In Kompany's absence, Aaron Danks is taking charge of training sessions for the Munich side.
