The midfielder makes his first start for Stuttgart's senior team in the matchday 9 top match (follow LIVE now >>>). Against Werder Bremen, the 19-year-old lines up in central midfield alongside Grischa Prömel.
Just four days ago, Spalt made his Champions League debut against Galatasaray, putting in an impressive performance.
Once again, two Austrians start for Werder: captain Marco Friedl and top scorer Marco Grüll.
