Adi Hütter Laments Squandered Leads

Adi Hütter is still waiting for his first win even after the second matchday.

Eintracht largely had the match under control before the break. The early lead by Burkardt was followed by several clear-cut chances. Only Augsburg goalkeeper Dahmen prevented a larger halftime deficit for the visitors.

Two Goals Conceded in Two Minutes

However, after the break, the game turned within two minutes: Frankfurt conceded two quick goals and fell behind as a result.

At the press conference, Hütter criticized the performance in the second half: "When you concede two goals without the opponent even having a clear scoring chance, it's obviously bitter for this team. Despite everything, I simply expect a reaction then. They simply failed to deliver in that form, and we just didn't have the right solutions anymore to play against Augsburg."

"What We Need to Stop as Quickly as Possible"

The Austrian is particularly dissatisfied with his team's poor chance conversion and defensive vulnerability:

"What we need to learn is simply that we have to score goals from these situations we create. After the second half, you simply cannot concede seven goals in two games. We gave away a lead in Berlin, we gave away a lead again today, and that's what we need to stop as quickly as possible."
